Lady Lions Start off Strong

By Dylan St. Clair

Although they lost their season opener, the Lady Lions basketball team is 3-1, defeating Lanesville, Southwestern, and South Central. When they played Lanesville on November 12th, they nearly set a school record in scoring, racking up a total of ninety-four points. “We were so close to getting the record,” Salem senior Annie Newkirk said.

The team is very confident that they are a legitimate team. “We should be undefeated. We should have beat Crawford County,” Annie also said. “We are a good team. We all have our own things that we do,” Kaitlyn Lamb said about the team.

Looking forward, the team has their eye on one team. “Scottsburg will be tough. That will be one of our hardest games of the year.”
