Welcome to “Game On!” the column where I review one card each week on how strong it is, what kind of deck would this card work in, and the pros and cons of the card. Today I will review the card “Mobius the Frost Monarch”. “Mobius the Frost Monarch” is a level 6 water attribute aqua-type monster with 2400 attack points and 1000 defense points. When “Mobius the Frost Monarch” is tribute summoned successfully, you can destroy up to 2 spell or trap cards on the field.
This can be a rather useful effect, but there is a price. If the only spell or traps cards on the field are yours when you summon “Mobius the Frost Monarch”, you have to destroy 2 of those cards. However, “Mobius the Frost Monarch” has good attack for a level 6 monster, and that’s why it’s best to play “Mobius the Frost Monarch” in a “Monarch” deck.
A “Monarch” deck focuses on bringing as many of the “Monarch” cards and using their effects against your opponent. A good “Monarch” deck would include other powerful “Monarch” cards like “Thestalos the Fire Storm Monarch”, “Zaborg the Thunder Monarch”, and “Caius the Shadow Monarch”.
So, in conclusion, “Mobius the Frost Monarch” may have a great effect, it can be risky if it’s not played properly. That’s all for this week, see you next time here at “Game On!”.
