Spanish 1-4 teacher, Mrs. Duffy, has decided to start a knitting club for the 2011-2012 school year. Meetings will be after school on Tuesdays starting November 1st.
The purpose of the club is to teach new knitters to knit and to help experienced knitters improve their skills. The class will start out simply for beginners., and go on from there. “Our first project is going to be a scarf,” says Duffy.
If those planning to attend the club meetings after school have scrap yarn and some knitting needles to share, it would be much appreciated if they brought some. Mrs. Duffy handed out a sheet of paper at the meeting during activity period on Friday, September 16th, asking members to list their 3 favorite colors so that she knows what yarn to buy. If you did not make it to the meeting, you can still be part of the club. You can ask Mrs. Duffy for the sheet mentioned above and another sheet with the dates of the future meetings.
The meetings will be from 3:30 to 5:00 on Tuesdays. The dates of the meetings are: November 1st, November 8th, November 15th, November 29th, December 6th, December 13th.
If you have any further questions, see Mrs. Duffy in room 240 when class is not in session.
